Bet that Nice player who was stood on a bridge, threatening suicide, had got some inside info on this. Probably thought jumping was an easier way of risking death or serious injury than coming to us.

I don't get why a majority of the clubs themselves would vote for this.

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems that this would only benefit a minority of clubs, and mainly richer ones at that.

I don't see why not if it's good enough for the Geordies to it then it's only fair that everyone else should be allowed top pull the same stunt!

Yep, can’t work it out either. My dislike for the game grows every day.

I’ve been watching other sports more than ever. Wish drexl would come back for the snooker chat. May start a UK Championship thread at the weekend but reckon it’d just be me talking to myself.

I think they needed two-thirds of the vote and missed that by 1 vote.

Exactly, the minority effectively won the vote in this instance.

Pretty sure you can guess at least 4 or 5 of the clubs without trying.

Rejecting regulations like this is likely with an eye to being more attractive to multi club franchises (what a disgusting sentence). Can’t impede the human trafficking/tax write-off model

I'm confused. How can 7/20 clubs block a ban?

Needed two thirds majority to pass, and rounded up, so 14/20.

Can understand those ‘big’ clubs voting for it, but the absolute state of little sides like Forest, Sheffield United, Everton etc voting for it. Turkeys voting for Christmas springs to mind.
