If the agent is going to pocket £18 million it will happen

Seems to be the reason it might not happen.

the only difference was that at least united had a manager who was trying to build a new continental approach and who was prepared to bring kids through the ranks at the earliest opportunity.

and then all the usual suspects b***hed and whined like babies and that manager was replaced by one who has pretty much only ever proved his quality by buying teams and sending them out to win at all costs...

meanwhile city spent a few seasons grooming guardiola, our former manager's most successful student, and now they have the new contemporary version of what we have just rejected...

We shall see, I'm quietly confident it will happen if we throw enough money at it. Just bartering going on........

Youll find the same points were argued well before FPP existed. Probably on here if you search hard enough.
The points about City spending a lot of money and then suddenly not being able to spend a lot of money? Because that's what I was talking about. That and only that. Not the greater issues of finance in sport, or legislation in sport, or what sport even is.

Of course I agree with you that none of it is what sport is meant to be about. But here we are, modern world.

Skybet just suspended betting and Betfair now have Pogba in at 1/12 - all in the last 30 mins.

I'd say it's about to be announced.

DiMarzio: Pogba deal is completed. Man Utd secured Pogba's image rights which was holding up deal.

ABUs a bit confused about whether they want it to fail or not. If it's a bad deal then falling through is a good thing right...?
