Tbh I can’t understand how anyone can look at city getting 100 points last season with Liverpool finishing fourth and come to the conclusion Liverpool will win the league this season. City must have at least an 80% chance of winning it this season. Liverpool around 10%.

Because that isn't how football works?

City finished 4th, 15 behind champions Chelsea the season before last.

Chelsea were 31 points behind champions Leicester the season before that, finishing 10th.

Quite a reply tbf.

Also, Liverpool have beaten City three times in 2018 already. Worthy of some respect unfortunately.

You do wonder what might happen if they are ever favourites to win it, though. The precedent of 2013/14 is there.
They have more of a chance of winning it than we have...

City won't get 100 points again.

Liverpool have improved vastly in the past 18 months.

Klopp has form for winning titles with this type of team.

Not hard really.

Quite. City are favourites and rightly so but Liverpool are improved and confident and I can see them running city very close or even doing it. Chelsea 3rd, Tottenham 4th and us 5th at best or more likely 6th.

The only question is how calamitous we could end up being. I reckon ‘fairly’ is probably about right.
