A post of yours most of us will agree with there

there's no need to 'speak' (as he puts it) about klopp and 'poch' unless they start on him. makes him look thin-skinned and overinflates their importance otherwise.

this is all straight out of the mourinho playbook anyway. as danny taylor points out in the observer, it is probably displacement activity arising from guardiola and city doing so well.

Not sure where he’s spoken about Klopp or Poch

I’d say it was about changing the focus of the media narrative towards something he considers less problematic. Everything Mourinho does is for a reason, much like Fergie.

Been drawing heat for picking on the fans lately. A go at rival managers might help get some of the more easily led on side perhaps.

All smoke and mirrors really. Won't have answered his critics til he wins a title and/or European Cup (proper one) with us.

I don’t think he gives a shit about that. That in itself was a deflection tactic to get away from the narrative of boring negative football that might affect the players. He changed the narrative to Jose and the fans rather than the team. The effect on the team’s morale and mentality relating to results is all he gives a shit about and that’s what most of his media stuff will be about. That and club politics.
