Cover? £1.2m for a trialist who just turned 20 from Penarol. Hardly going to have Rafael worried. Maybe he can play both sides.

Wonder if he can play in an advanced position as he'd be an improvement on Valencia.

Never seen him play, btw.

That was my thinking. Would be good to stop using Smalling and Jones as cover too

Would he get a work permit? Seeing as nobody has ever heard of him I'm assuming he's not an international? Doesn't say when the bid was made either. May have nothing to do with Moyes.

I think so. Assuming he hasn't got a European passport, he was apparently very good at the South American U20 championships earlier this year. That kind of thing is usually enough to get you some 'special talent' dispensation or some shit these days.

We got Diouf a permit ffs

Good point! Ljajic wouldn't have got one though according to Micky Shorts at the time

Also, Henriquez this time last year was in the same position. I don't think permits are much problem these days.

Can't be worse than [insert name here]. Unlike [insert name here], we surely have to give Varela a chance? So what if I have no £#%&!ing clue who Varela is? Who knows maybe he can do better than [insert name here] and win us over.

GO BIG MOYERS!
