Barca would have loved that, Mourinho would have been pissed off.

Sometimes it's not as exciting as other teams, but it's more chess than draughts.

what's so good about that?

16 minutes into the game, 0-0 and they just pass it around at the back like they're 3 nil up in stoppage time
They wait for another few players to start charging around like @#%&!s then pass their way through the defence...

Apparently they had a big row over it. Mourinho's argument was that if Ronaldo worked that hard off the ball for most of the match, he would have played him out wide and someone else up top. It's because he only bothers pressing or tracking back when he wants that he's the one chosen to be isolated from the rest of the team, which stays compact.

Agree that Messi conducts himself on the pitch a lot better than Ronaldo. He does get a leaner time from referees, though. Maybe there's a connection. He kicked the ball away twice at Camp Nou in the SuperCopa against Real and received no punishment. Can't help thinking any other player would have got two yellows.

Slight tangent but I caught the story on the radio today about Barcelona opening a kids training place in what I thought I heard as Walsall.
