May not be much of an issue if Aguero keeps on missing chunks of the season I guess.
Yeah, Aguero will have to adapt. Guardiola's way.

Interesting to see how Bony fits in too

I hope we outbid them if it's their last offer, I love Stones, only English player who could play in Spain.

Manchester City have signed John Stones from Everton for £47.5m, making him the second most expensive defender in history.

The 22-year-old England international has signed a six-year deal and becomes Pep Guardiola's sixth signing of the summer.

Stones was earlier named in City's official Champions League squad, published on the Uefa website before the transfer was confirmed.
Will be a quality player tbf. Can only hope Pep bullies him into failing early doors.

He'll come good in time but he's got a lot to learn and he'll be under huge pressure to use the ball and take initiative in Guardiola's system. Something not all English defenders are comfortable with as we've found the last 2 years.

Looking forward to the Hart and Stones blooper compilations at the end of the season.

He has a good shout as one of the most overrated players currently in the game. Hell of a lot to improve upon.

Did City consider this a "Good day to bury bad news" (re: the fee)?

The timing seems strange.

Williams to Everton for £12 million is a good deal for Everton, a defensive improvement on Stones. They lose out on potential and ball playing quality but theyare likely to be quite a cautious side and Williams will give them more value than Stones in that style.

Stones was excellent against Utd in the SF, they caused us a lot of problems in the second half, much of them stemming from his prompting from deep, easy to see why Pep would value him. City had an ageing squad, they had to address that problem.

No obvious favourite for the league this season.

There is and they play in red.

If Guardiola had any premier league experience you could make an argument for them but he doesn't. He has no idea how to rotate a squad through a brutal and long English season. He seems a smart bloke so I'm sure he'll do ok but we've got to be favourites.
