Against domestic opposition yes, but we tend to be a bit more prosaic in Europe. Utd's performance at the Nou Camp last year was as a footballing show, very poor, 10 men behind the ball, very defensive, just hoofed the ball clear and gave them 70%+ possession.
Over the course of the tie it worked, but similar tactics against this seasons Barca could be suicidal.
I would have liked Utd to have more of a stable midfield in place ahead of the resumption of the CL. Who partners Carrick is a mystery. On form it would be Giggs but tactically that pairing could be a major problem against a good passing team. Scholes has looked a long way off his best, Anderson is not fit and has struggled for consistency while Fletcher is the safe but somewhat limited choice. Add this issue to the misfiring nature of the strikers and we may have to rely more o the defence that we would want.
