no-ones denying United and many other teams used to have and still do have a certain 'boisterous' element.
What makes this different is that Scottish fans in general, and Rangers & Celtic in particular are CONSTANTLY banging on about how great their support is, just a big bunch of lovable Jockos on the lash but great with it. Load Of %@#$&!s Oh, and as for hooliganism, been around for decades - my local non-league cloggers were fined and forced to play behind closed doors in the 30s after fighting spilled into the pitch and involved players, officials too. |

Agree about the mess, largely unavoidable, I have been involved in running free concerts for 70,000, they make a mess, bear in mind this is 100,000 plus Jocks on the piss all day - even if they were all inclined to put everything in the bin, and behave, there would be a £#%&!ing great mess. |

I’ve always thought Scottish football fans were portrayed as being fun loving friendly types but never Rangers fans. Quite the opposite – they have a pretty bad reputation linked unsurprisingly to the loyalist dog-shit they cover themselves in. In particular, I can remember them being strongly linked with the far right wing racist elements of City’s and Chelsea’s support in the 80’s and 90’s. Horrible vile bastards. |
