I really don't have a lot of time for the guy and don't particularly want to defend him. I'm glad he left United and we got away from that was surrounding him. He should be ashamed for the way he manipulated his way out of OT.

However, 99% of footballers are greedy @#%&!s and don't see why Beckham should be any different. Given the opportunity to become a face in the States (which is what Posh wants) and earn 70k a day (!!!) and have one last pay day (however much money he has already) I can't really think badly of him for that. Fair £#%&!s to him.

that that it matters either way, it's still a bloody fortune.

fair play to him. he was excellent for united and it was right for him to move on to madrid. but what a final payday

sterling. £128m 5 yr deal or $250m 5 yr deal. a lot whichever way you spend it

Heard an interesting rumour that the ridiculous amount of money Becks will be receiving is partly financed by a major film company in the US and contracts him to two films during his stay in the US.

Makes a lot of sense, both in the destination of the transfer and the ludicrous amount of cash he is receiving.
