Easy to forget how big a talent he is. If he can nail a place there now it should do him the world of good ahead of next season.

Must be fair weather there today

get a reliable scorer and outscore the opposition. Face it that is what Liverpool are doing now and breathing down our neck.
Still don’t get why Mourinho passed up on bringing Chicharito back . He said himself he would have scored 20 here last season . A proper goal poacher at a bargain price. A different option to the strikers we have

Signing several players in the winter window when we don’t have a shot at the title would be quite stupid, surely?

Rest of the season should be giving certain players a make or break run. For Mourinho, Shaw and Martial would top the list.

Maybe get another midfielder or wide player if the right options arise.
These are the only two positions I'd look at strengthening in January.

Rest can wait until the Summer.

Considering United are being linked with Diarra and Moura, I suspect not.

there's no signing going to make us win the league so there's no point in paying over the odds on a jan transfer.

someone out of contract maybe.

Tbh my worry is they (the CEO & owners) have that attitude in the Summer and just do enough to tick over. As an example Carrick and Fellaini leave, possibly one or two CMs arrive. That's not really strengthening (IMO), stretched as it is in that key area.

On top of that would love to see some of the mediocrity shipped out, Darmian for example. Agent says won't happen in January, not for sale etc.

He is a rare commodity. A natural goal scorer. How many times did he come off the bench & score crucial poacher style goals? The only possible acceptable reason is that he didn’t want to come back & be a bench player again.
