Don't agree. We can afford to give one player license to roam. That player should be him.

Can never accuse him of lacking effort unlike a certain Belfast bebe but sadly he is a terrible captain without a doubt

I can understand the reasoning behind making him captain. I’m not sure we actually have anyone else I’d consider captain material tbh. Give it Mainoo next season. He’ll probably end up with the armband in a few years anyway so why not get it out of the way now.

I think garnacho has been well ahead of him this season.

He doesnt produce nearly enough any more, and is unlikely to get better. Gives the ball away far too often in attacking positions, leading to us getting overrun on the counter, his corners and free kicks are generally abysmal, as is his long range shooting. He isn’t good at tackling or defending and he’s a complete fanny. Other than that…

And there is no way Mainoo should be made captain. Why destroy one of the glimmers of light at the club so early in his career?
