He never looked nearly as dangerous as he was before his injury towards the end of 09/10.

Yeah, Webb, Birtles, Brazil... played in a disciplined role under top managers who did their thinking for them. As soon as they went to relatively disorganised sides it all fell apart. Of course lots of it is down to injury and the loss of confidence that ensues. But the thread didn't say to exclude those cases. Torres was similar.
