technically very good, tactically a manager's dream, but stopped hitting the line inside 6 months and never gave us the wide threat we needed much thereafter... tbf that was partly tactical under fergie and completely tactical under lvg, but even so, wouldn't be missed now that shaw is back.

If we don't get £10m-15m we're idiots. The market has gone mental.
No chance, we'll git a pittance for him like all our players. £6m for Evans and now prices of £15m+ are being bandied about and £1m for Michael Keane who could go for nearly £20m

Can't really fault his attitude and effort. But never had the required standard to be starting games on a regular basis. His end product just isn't consistent enough.
Summed.

Too many ahead of him in the CB line.

Clubs have been getting bargains from Utd for years, look at last Summer, Van Persie, Nani, Rafael, Evans, Hernandez and Cleverley all gone for a combined fee of less than £30 million.

Could've sent him on loan, which is what they would normally do, he did pretty well, mostly, last pre-season too.

High wages and players ages/not wanting to move usually cripple us on fees

Mourinho would be a fool to ditch Blind, and I don't think he's a fool. How many other players can fit into four or five positions without skipping much of a beat? It's one thing to prefer specialists, but you also need some versatility because someone will always be either injured, suspended or in need of rest. Players like Blind are gold in that regard and will probably end up playing more than most of the supposed first choice eleven.

Spot on, I don't mind him at all, gave it his best every time he was on the pitch and actually dug us out of a hole a few times.
