The first thing he said about 3-5-2 was that he adopted it because it best suited the capabilities of his squad (debatable, but beside the point). He's since then championed its merits, but hasn't said he's married to it.

The main message he has sent out is about his philosophy and 'playing with the brain' etc.

I always had the impression he would ditch 3-5-2 at the drop of a hat.

The article is typical of exactly how I expected him to be perceived in the media. wishy-washy labels about him being single minded, despite the world cup proving he is happy to change systems and personnel should a situation dictate it. happily saying that the side is playing poorly under him, offering none of the excuses they were happy to churn out for David Moyes.

I'm sure they'd be leaping on him should if he stuck to his guns too.

They've basically taken a throw away comment from him and defined the whole intentions behind the transfer

He can, but I wouldn't want him facing up against wingers in the left back portion on a regular. Similar to young in that sense........and in no other sense whatsoever.

I thought I'd read somewhere that him and Rojo had played in a similar set up for the Argies. My only real concern in that set up is Evans but I've forgotten who most of our squad are so picked him.
