we can still win the f.a. cup.

well, technically, we can still win the league.

there has never been a game I wanted united to lose.

if we speaking hypothetically, I'd like united win playing dazzling attacking football.

I cant recall a united game were us winning would do City/scousers a favour? Eg Liverpool v Blackburn last game of the season when every scouser wanted Blackburn to win.

No, not on Friday...I fancy a good cup run

However, I can think of two occasions where I have wanted us to get beat..

Mid to late nineties, the title was more or less sewn up, Derby beat us at home which was great because it more or less meant city were relegated

...and more recently, during the few games Giggs had in charge we lost at home to Sunderland, which was fine because it stopped us qualifying for that £#%&!ing Eurodisney nonsense

It was different, Gollum was utterly unfit to manage us on any level. Louis has the credentials, but for whatever reason(s) it hasn't worked out.

Not the same.

Not true. I well remember watching the scousers reactions when Liverpool scored their goals. Despite their Kenny being ico BLackburn and having to stomach us winning the PL, the Liverpool fans went bolistic with joy when their team scored.
Anyone on this forum who would ever want us to lose wants £#%&!ing shooting.

Was the 2000/01 season IIRC, of course Fergal helping out his old mate Jim Smith had nothing to do with it

It's easy to say now that you might want us to lose. I could think it. I have watched us and not been arsed that we've lost, or not been arsed if we've won. .....but to actively want the opponent to score against us and win just doesn't physically compute.

That's my team. I never want to them to lose.

Even if i knew it help and improve our season, I still wouldn't take any pleasure from watching us lose.

I can just picture Saffers cheering derby goals as they go in
