Thought Carrick was superb. Rafael, De Gea, Cleverley and Young all good. Van Persie when involved is just such a class act (his touch for the first). But, has to be Rooney today.

Jebus, it was Rooney. By three days' camel ride, from Carrick. Arsed about the rest. Possibly The Leisure Brand™ third.

Has to be Rooney but I think Carrick had a great game followed by the Young-un at RB

I thought Smalling was outstanding, a few bits of 1 on 1 defending which i reckon saved conceding goals. Best player on the park for me.

thought it was carrick's best game of the season. don't think he's been that good for years.

he has been .....he's that good most games tbh very under-rated player and one of Fergie's best ever signings

might have gone carrick as midfield was where we expected to lose it. de gea was as good as can be, but wasn't under enough pressure. had to go snoop as he was the main reason why. no slackers today (jones wasn't really on long enough to be shite).

Rooney. Pleasure to watch him when he plays like that.

I've always been a Carrick fan, but I wouldn't go that far.

Rooney Young Rafael and Rio all outstanding.

Nobody was beneath an 8 really barring probably Valencia.

Although Buttner looks fairly shite, his mere presence seems to have been a kick up the arse to Patrice.

Rooney was motm purely down to his finishing, but thought he was a bit sloppy at times, especially in the second half. Although one of his worst passes - a nothing ball straight to Clichy - ended up with us scoring the winner.

Smalling handled Aguero so well when he came on.

Was just nice to see Fergie picking the right team, tbh.

.
Yep. I think most players benefit from competition, or at least the sniff of it.

I can think of one player who is showing signs of complacency with club & country because of zero competition:

has buttner been shite he had one shocking performance but other than that he's been alright (i know he's only played three for the first team). played great on his debut too. bit harsh imo.
