it means de gea has a chance to show that he can command his area and organise a young defence. if we don't concede any goals through a lack of either then he'll start on sunday imo

Macheda.. How his he still in and around the squad.. The only reason he is still here is that he is still under contract and no £#%&!er will buy him.. As soon as his contract runs out he'll be at some no mark serie b club ( if he is lucky)

Would be our first draw this season, if so. Wouldn't mind us breaking that particular duck on Sunday, though......

Why would he need to demonstrate that to play if t'other guy hasn't?

The optimist in me thinks the opposite - and Freggle did refer to some players "needing a game" tonight

Think he has, hasn't he - didn't he come on as a sub against us?? Not sure if he has started, though

i don't know for sure, but I think Fergie is just using - in both senses - Lindegaard to protect De Gea a bit.

people will obviously counter with various arguments including throwing him in at the deep end/give him a run of games blah blah blah... reality is that De Gea has not had the luxury of Vidic since he signed really and I reckon Ferguson is far more comfortable watching Lindegaard suffer for it in the public gaze... what say you Grimey?

I'm hoping it's good. I fear he's going to fall into the predictable trap of mythologizing the position to death.
