Their entire existence was always about not being us, you couldn't visit one of their forums without stumbling across a thread about "Why did you choose city over Utd". Nowhere outside of Glasgow has one group been so defined by not being the other. That's the whole reason that empty husk of a club is being used for some arabs to play Champ Man in cheat mode, nowhere else in the world are the fans so desperate to match their neighbours they'll repeatedly bend over and pull their cheeks apart for any foreigner with a bit of cash. If other fans see them for what they are then no wonder they're so high on the list

the season when they beat us 6-1 and aguero scored THAT goal was like a novelty to abus, but since then the novelty's worn off and they've done enough to earn the hatred of neutrals. i've certainly heard more people say they hate them than before they won the league for the first time, and people loved the idea of united's "underdog" neighbours being super rich and posing a threat to us.

which is odd because they're slightly less hatable now than the days when they had the likes of tevez, balotelli, adebayor and bellamy.
