I am happy with him as captain, despite the controversy (He's a whiner ect)
I believe he was the most played player in Europe last season, let alone the Premier League. In short, he's an endurance powerhouse who seldom picks up injuries. You could make Varane the captain, but he's always out with injuries, and Casimero is getting long in the tooth, too much pressure for Rashford, Shaw injury prone. Looking at the starting 11, I can't think of a better option. |

He always looks like he’s just recovering from a major long-term illness. I suppose that’s kind of inspirational in itself.
The only obvious choice for the role though, with Varane, Martinez and Cass behind him, the spine of our team now is one of leadership. |
