he's a good natural defender but his concentration is poor and he can't kick a ball in the direction he wants.

Not a club side in Europe has a better third choice centre-half than Wes Brown.

So the U-turn I predicted has happened? OK then. I'd have picked Wes ahead of Vidic at the seasons start as Fergie did. He didn't put his hand up though and now Vidic is 1st choice and a class act which can only be good.

wes brown was on a one man mission to ruin everything at the beginning of the season. remember a few stupid tackles, losing his man and two handballs.

dont know what happen to him...

but they both suffer from that "lapse of concerntration" trate which is bad for defenders...

i personally would be happy if we sold wes brown...

we need to raise funds and have jos, silvestre and evans as cover(not forgetting pique)

Browns a quality player, suffers from lack concentration at times but what defender doesnt.

There was a time when you would all be raving about him.

Why do we always have to put our own players down,i remember some of the comments saying how shit Rooney is because he suffered a dip in form.

£#%&!wits

It's a bit unpleasant, this thread. Sure Wes is no Vidic, but we're fortunate to have experienced cover should it come to that.

Not so long ago Wes was touted as our best defender a few months back.

Oh how fickle some people are.

NEVER by me....

shortly after vidic signed i was saying that in a year him and rio will be the best cb partnership in europe...

only to be laughed at saying he will do well do play ahead of wes brown.

ive never rated wes brown....

always thought most only rate him becaus eof where he was born...

ledley king, terry, dawson, carragher are all more reliable defenders.
