Exclamation Rooney hasn't got Ronaldo as a safety net this season - it is his moment of truth

This thread intends to monitor Mr Rooney's performances starting from the first competitive match against Chelsea on Sunday.

Will he just be a very good player or will he become the world class United legend he has the ability and potential to be. It's up to you , Wayne.

2009/10, we shall see.

We know he's a fantastic player, will he make that jump that Messi and Ronnie made in recent season? He's probably the most complete footballer around tbh.

Will he respond to having more responsibility? We shall see.

I'd imagine he'll just carry on being Wayne Rooney tbh.

i think you'll find it's the other way round - rooney was ronnys safety net.

rooney has proved himself since the day he put the shirt on. it's only complete £#%&!wits that question either his talent or commitment

Am i right in thinking "monitor", in this context, means slag off at every opportunity?
