Default bellamy and this fan incident.

hughes compared it to the brian clough incident.

but hang on, the fan who got cuffed by clough wasn't being held back/escorted off by stewards.

bellamy mouths off to him and then pushes in the face while three blokes had hold of him. bellamy had no need to do what he did.

cowardly @#%&!.

He is hard mind 'Bellars'. I mean who on here would have the guts to limp wristed-ly push a man in the face when three blokes had hold of him with his arms behind his back??

Hughes did indeed compare it to Clough, I just wish that someone had said this to sir alex so he could have compared it to Eric. After all both were assaults on fans.

At least his exposed his @#%&!ishness to a wider audience.

It'll be interesting to see what the FA's reaction is.

It'll be brushed over because the guy ran onto the pitch. At the very worst he'll get a 3 game ban.

For me, it's on a par with Cantona's kick. Unlike Eric, Bellamy wasn't provoked.

It's not as if the fan ran over to Bellamy. He only came onto the pitch because he was ballooning after our 4th.

Bellamy ran 30 yards to stick one on him. Utter @#%&!

Dunno either than fan says something to him or spits on him, but neverless Bellamy should of not been anywhere near him.

On another note, Bellamy 1st half could of broke Anderson's leg, yet accused him of play acting if i remember rightly.

Makes yesterday all that better

Just as the the fan gets collared by the steward he throws something away. Wonder what it was?

I think we are getting carried away comparing it to the cantona incident. Ffs get a grip it was a derby game with emotions running high, it was only a slap, some of you on here are going soft.

Hughes admitted he'd not seen it so should have kept his mouth shut till he had - the comparisons with Cloughie were wrong.

Bellamy is a tool - he could have avoided it all but had to go and slap the lad... he needs his face smashing in.

agreed but he should still get banned

i knoiw we say this a lot but if it had been Rooney or Ronaldo when he was still one of ours the media hyperbole would have been akin to a lynching mob

Just seen it on SSN. The £#%&!er should have just stayed well away. He deserves a ban for that. What gives him the right to give the lad a dig? I like Rio's reaction though.
