edwin saving anelka's pen was the immense emotion pouring moment. when terry missed i didn't quite know what to do, i remembered to breathe out which was good but i was speechless, it's not like our end went mental, we'd all given it up and all had that same 'i can't believe this @#%&! has apen to win the european cup..etc etc.

Nick Hornby gave a pretty good description of it in Fever Pitch.

With sex you know what's coming and it's not got that rarity value, kids likewise, and other sports have too many runs, sets and points to make each one such a release of energy.

Unfortunately this is/was perfect fuel for complete idiots to pretend they knew, or even cared about football.

have you had kids, because that's exactly what it was like for me. nothing could have prepared me for the moment when he actually came out. And my missus had a miraculously short labour so there was a bit of the POW about it. I was in £#%&!ing pieces and not ashamed to say so.

so for me: birth of son number one, the feeling I had in the hours after 99 rolling about the ramblas number two. then a very big gap to the rest of the top 5

£#%&!ing hell, no need to get uppity.

I was just amused at the image of a bloke in the bushes taking pictures of your missus.

Anyway fair play to you and your touching honesty.

I suppose the 2 stand out moments for me are the day we won the league in 93 and the final whistle in barcelona in 99.

I remember the final whistle going at the Villa Oldham game and just running round screaming. i then went outside and was expecting to see some kind of streetparty but it was just another day as far as everyone walking past was concerned. when my old man came home he hugged me and just said "we've done it" with a slight croak in his throat. i'll never forget that.

not sure what happened at the final whistle in barca but i just found myself with my head in my hands sobbing uncontrollably. i doubt i will ever understand why but i know i'll never forget it
