He was a nice distraction in a shit season, but it was obvious he was never going to be more than a stop gap until a younger option became available. You could debate if Utd would have been better served developing Martial and Rashford in that central striker role instead.

Did better than you could expect a 36yo to do in the PL. Pity we did not get to see him closer to his prime.

It's all Adrian Mutu's fault

In hindsight I wish we'd signed him 10 years ago but like most of the forum 10 years ago I thought he was shit.

I remember Marlo was his main cheerleader when most of us were slagging him off #marlowasright

He proved a point. I know people in England who used to slag him drastically changed their mind after he destroyed the Three Lions but for any who still thought he couldn't hack it in the Prem, showing up at 35 and scoring 17 goals from 28 league games put that to bed.

definitely massively overrated, particularly by himself. him and mou were made for each other. and psg. not united. marlo was wrong.

Wasn’t a fan in his early days, but the older he got the more I warmed to him.

Ripping ingurlund was funny to watch. Shame the 2nd season didn’t work out like the first.

Magnificent bastard. My lad will be gutted though.

Even by his standards that is ludicrous.

Edit: Bailly - “£#%&! offfff”

He was alright.

Lone striker at United will always hit 30s if they're any use.

some made on that he carried us which is far from the truth imo.

Missed a shitload of chances, didn't give us much mobility but scored goals few other strikers could . I changed my mind on him on an almost weekly basis . In the end 28 goals a very decent return & he also brought a swagger & arrogance back to the club that Moyes & LVG had done their best to destroy

£#%&! knows why the club gave him another season

we have paid him millions for getting his rehab done at our own training ground

he was obviously past his best when he came here, but he still did a job.
Current Birtles would have been a improvement on Falcao. He was horrific, clearly nowhere close physically to where he needed to be. El Tigre, squinting, falling over and cool hair, that was Falcao.

Fair dues that he got back to a decent level at Moncao because he looked finished at Utd.

did alright in his first season, but an absolute shambles of a decision to give him a new contract. something very dodgy going on there.

we could have wasted all that money on somebody younger.
