Surely not controversial to say we are still suffering the after effects of both the moyes and lvg eras?

Mourinho has improved us already. Youd have to be blind to deny that. 6th place irrelevant. Can't judge purely on league finish. Especially considering the context of this season.

Saffers .

Of course it is not controversial one can see the huge improvement

2014/15 4th place 38 20 10 8 62 37 +28 70pts
2015/16 5th place 38 19 9 10 49 35 +14 66pts
2016/17 6th place 36 17 14 5 52 29 +23 65pts 9maybe a couple more)
The improvement is mind blowing.

No, but you have to be careful of overusing that excuse. It was an issue with LVG, so many had convinced themselves that he was the messiah that his mistakes were overlooked and written off as fixing the mess that Moyes created. Dragged on into his second season.

If Utd spend £150-£200 million this summer anything less than the title will be disappointing.

When LvG arrived most agreed he needed to take an axe to the squad, sign about ten players and change everything. When Mourinho arrived most tipped us for a top two finish. Hard to see how for him the blame can be shifted. He inherited a decent situation.

To me Jose looks like he is ready to hit the big brick wall as he did with Chelsea.

Too early to say I would think.

There is a line on here that if Mourinho had taken over after Fergie that the drop off would have been minimal. The problem with that is that post Madrid Mourinho has been a different animal, possibly going through a period of burn out. Some have had issues with his attitude this season, but compared to his last spell at Chelsea he has been an angel. Perhaps this is the right time for him, think it unlikely he would still be at Utd if he had pipped Moyes.

He's referring to me daring to say the Europa League doesn't have any prestige. Perfect set up for some top red bollox.

I don't think there's anyone who, for one reason or another, isn't desperate to win the final. For me it's about CL more than anything.

Basically we're desperate to win it so we don't have to play in it again

You said earlier that you look down on the lads for blaming LvG and Moyes for the club's failings...Yet, at the moment, you're looking down on Mourinho and blaming him for our failings at the moment....

Jem has said we have a squad capable of winning/challenging for the league and anyone who thinks we don't, needs to give their heads a wobble.....

Seriously, what the actual £#%&!?!

And by young players, I assume people mean Rashford....If so, he's not a team but an individual

I think what I actually said was that we could potentially challenge for the title but should be in the top 4. but we have got quality players. as everyone recognised at the beginning of the season, before the hindsight/revisionism kicked in. jose has not organised them and fired them up, though. quite the contrary. he has been a moody, defensive #sadmanonthetrainingpitch and he has not got the best out of them. this has largely been down to decisions he has made.
