Where has this rumour come from, as there is nothing on Ben Smith's Twitter page?

Nothing on Ben Smith twitter page or the BBC live thingy. Sure the above works for the BBC though.

Probably have been told to £#%&! off by them though, probably for Lambert.

Thought you said "it has to be the right players, at the right price" ???

Sounds to me like you would be willing to take a punt on a left back who can't defend because of how cheap he is???

Or has it got something to do with the fact Coentrao is bff with a certain Cristiano....

No it's to do with the fact we've been linked with him before, so there must be something we like and it's a decent price.

Ah ok.

By that way of thinking I've heard we can get Edgar Davids for next to nothing?

Why did we try to sign him on loan in August?

Actually don't answer that.

We'll get Coentrao. They're just probably just checking with Soton in case the situation changed. Obviously you'd rather sign Luke Shaw than Coentrao for age, potential and English reasons but seems a bit ridiculous that Portuguese international aged 25 and Real Madrid £30m signing can go for £12m while a teenager with one year of PL football under his belt costs twice as much.

Coentrao RIGHT NOW is much better than Luke Shaw, factoid.

Probably the same reason we payed £30m for Fellaini. Panic!

If he was a target why did we wait until the last seconds of the transfer window?

By all accounts he needs a pre-season as he's had a bad injury and taken some time off due to his dad dying.

Nothing the famous Moyes Shuttle Runs can't injure.

Seems to have mysteriously been fit for all of Portugals games since the summer.

La Liga experts over here reckon the injury is made up and he's trying to force an exit again per their 'sources'.

The way Evra is playing he would walk right into the team.

For once I agree. I think Pat was having a pretty good season until the Villa game. Been very poor since then, although it's probably a season too far in terms of overplaying him slightly. I do think him staying for the next 18 months and breaking the bank for Shaw is ideal.

But it seems Shaw is in no rush to leave, which makes sense. And I doubt we'll flash the kind of money that would pressure them.

Remember late August we sent Steve Round and Neville to watch them.

Young Sheezy

G2C Wooders has started making a @#%&! of himself & the club again. Should be another superb transfer window for United.
