Does anyone else get a 'Will they, won't they?' vibe from Neville and Carragher?

Aye. Although I'm always a little suspicious of players that put I such performancea later in in their career as it could just be a purple patch and they'll revert the second we buy them.

Saged him 5 years ago when he was about for £7m, instead we bought Bebe. For £7.4m.

Interesting thread to read tbh. Unbeaten in January but everyone agreeing we are awful to watch and rely on moments from brilliant players. Unlike those ex United players who would have you believe there was some great clear 'philosophy' in place on the field right up until three years ago.

Those brilliant players have all gone or aged, many not yet replaced, and we are trying to implement a whole new style of play with an almost entirely new group of players. Really has been a brisk rebuild starting from scratch.

Kante will end up at Real Madrid or Barcelona. He really is that good.

Madrid are not sensible enough for such a buy. No doubt they will throw money at whatever attacker lights up the Euros, probably dump James Rodriguez or Isco to make room for him.

Fairly concerned that Martial might be in their sights tbh.

Nah, he's still far too raw and unpolished for them. They'll have him in a couple of years when he's bagging 25 a season.
