Default In the 10 red cards given to England players since 1980

8 were given to Manchester United players.

Rooney (twice)
Beckham (twice)
Ince
Scholes
Smith
Wilkins

I have no idea why the media has not picked up on this and if at any point it does will it mean 3 matches without Evra?

It's because United players are used to winning and want to win, the rest of the useless £#%&!s are just there for a ride and would prefer to lose rather than put themselves out, which further frustrates our boys.

It's because United players are not arsed about playing for England and would sooner miss 3 out of every 4 games.

It's because United players are arrogant and bad role models for kids.

I should imagine it's because we have a high percentage of players in the England team. It must be hard for Liverpool and Arsenal players to get sent off for England if they're playing for Spain or France.

Interesting that the FA are begging for UEFA only to give him a 1 match ban, this is the same organization that banned him for 2 matches for swearing at a camera.

ur players r jepardising englunds chances to win world cups ffs!!

rio stole the captincy off JT, rooney had sexed all them grannies n that.

englunds chances would be better with no utd players in the squad, messing it all up.

I can't help thinking that this red card stat could be due to the frustration of United players having to deal with the sort of inferior play from their teammates that they simply aren't used to.

i find it far worse, seeing United players hugging the likes of gerrard, terry and cole after scoring a goal than them getting sent off

Wow.

That's some fact-twisting that RAWK would be proud of.

To put it in a non-paranoid way, without adding a cut-off point that serves no logical purpose whatsoever, here's all the red cards for England players and their clubs

Rooney - Utd
Green - West Ham
Rooney - Utd
Beckham - Real Madrid
Smith - Leeds
Batty - Leeds
Scholes - Utd
Ince - Liverpool
Beckham - Utd
Wilkins - Milan
Cherry - Leeds
Ball - Arsenal
Mullery - Tottenham

United have been the country's biggest club for the last half a century. Of course we're going to provide more players to the England team than anyone else, and therefore have a higher chance of players who've once been with us getting red carded.

Tell you what, of those 13 red cards, 7 have been given to players who grew up along the M62 corridor. It's a blatant anti-Rugby League conspiracy

Bloody hell, didn't know "United player" meant in this context "played for them at some point in their careers"

Naughty, naughty BRL
