Re: Pubs in Belfast to watch United
Tons of TV in Laverys but the viewing angles are a bit shit. Decent all round bar, with a dedicated pool hall upstairs, been renovated and expanded quite a lot recently. Its reputation decreases due its proximity to that den of iniquity called Benedicts. Fair few options in that general area though, Aunties Annies is small but has decent seating with TV sightlines, The Globe has plenty of TVs but is a bit of a hole. The Empire on Botanic will have a big screen up and is usually fairly packed on match days. The Bot and Egg up on the hill beyond the University is student central, a fair degree of talent there pretty much every night. They have a themed schoolgirl night which brings some odd characters out to eye up the girls.
For watching football those bars are your best options, the ones in the actual main centre are not really looking for that type of custom. There are few on Great Victoria Street outside the Europe and main bus/train station that might suit, a more mature crowd in there as well if that is more comfortable. |
