that's the problem. 1 player playing well out of the collective still means there is 30 yards of open space for the other team to run through at will. and yes a good manager would have fixed this problem that's been evident for a long time now.

It’s bizarre.

I get that when a ball is contested sometimes it’s safest just to make sure you’re first there and get it away. But, like that Mudryk shot, he made the save but didn’t seem to have any plans on what to do once he was behind the ball.

He's literally all over the shop. Just doesn't look like he wants to he in the country, let alone at the club.

Varane moving at about the speed of glacial shift to get back there.

Get him off you thick arseholes.

great. Maguire screaming to the bench to get Varance off saying he can't run. When Maguire says another guy can't run, that's a real problem.

Fair play to the lads, they have done very well to get back into this.

Hopefully a good second half coming up.

Two old heavyweights slugging it out in a drunken, back-garden punch up. Embarrassed spectators struggling to look away.

One day it would be fantastic to finish the game with the same centre back partnership we started with

I think it’s clear half of these lot are being rushed back because we’ve no other choice.

Perfect analogy.

It’s the “Bumfights” of English football.
