Default Richard Arnold vs Staff

Quote:
It is understood that staff wanted answers on the club’s stance following Greenwood’s suspension in January 2022 over published material online, with charges including attempted rape and assault eventually dropped. During the meeting, held at 2pm, Arnold insisted the club were committed to an inclusive culture and were not tolerant of domestic abuse.

Arnold also defended the process of the Greenwood suspension and eventual loan to Spain, and has always insisted the final decision was only made after the internal investigation.

While seeking to reassure his staff, Arnold also addressed United’s start to the season where they have slipped into the bottom half of the league.

Staff were told that summer recruitment will eventually be proved correct and there is still confidence in Erik ten Hag, who has guided the club into the Champions League and starts this season’s campaign away at Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

In general, the meeting was said to have included some very tough questions for the chief executive to answer. United’s summer has been dominated by Greenwood and Antony, and to a lesser degree Jadon Sancho being banished from the first-team squad over his standards in training.
From pints in a pub with strangers to staff over Teams...

This man has no boundaries...
