I think he deserves at least one season under the new regime. This season has been a disaster regardless of where we finish.

If we get top 4 it won't be a success, but should be enough to keep ETH in the job

This.

It’s been a complete anomaly on and off the pitch/training ground. Can be no excuses next year with a clear direction and competent people above him, so he definitely needs to show genuine progress and awareness of what our problems are.

Absolutely yes, considering where we were. CL is a must for us.

Yep. It’s vital we go through the process of embarrassing ourselves in the group stage yet again.

been arguably my favourite utd season since fergie retired
the way he has dealt with having all his best players permanently injured has been brilliant
in 10h i trust

Can you get your carer to explain to you what “show genuine progress” means please. Thanks.

The reality is that ETH is very unlikely to be manager next season

Whenever you have a change of ownership (which is effectively what’s happened) the new owners always want their own people in the key positions at the football club
We’re already seeing that and it would be very naive to think it won’t apply to ETH

Obviously if we don’t get CL football then he’s gone but even if he does he probably will still be replaced as he’ll only have one year left on his contract so we’ll have to either give him a new deal or get rid and after how we’ve played this season I struggle to see the new INEOS football operation committing to him

Personally I’ve been really disappointed with the regression in our football this season
Can’t see how he’s trying to get us play long term

No. It’s been a complete disaster tbh.

Finishing top 4 won’t make up for that

This. I don’t think ETH is it myself. Tactically we are powderpuff and that CL campaign killed any faith I had in him. Personally I think many put way too much credit in his bank, isn’t our GD neutral or negative since the league cup final? That’s a large part of his tenure.

Our so called style of play is also never going to sustain a title bid even with better players. Almost every match is chaos where we struggle to reel it in. Then there’s our away record in the league
