Absolutely wonderful to see us finally behaving like the absolutely £#%&!ing huge club we are once again.

Jim has got us swaggering about, radiating BDE. We know that anyone who genuinely wants to be the biggest and best in the world at what they do will ultimately want to do it at a club like United, and it looks like we’re finally playing on that rather than making jobs for the boys appointments, or finding bargain basement people from farmers leagues.

great news.

we’ve needed a director of football for a while now. fletcher and the other “sound lads” should be cleared out of there.

wasn’t it rangnick who said he didn’t know what fletcher even did at the club.

The club is slowly changing and getting the best in the business in….

we will make the major change in the summer

It’s not hard is it, pretty much everyone has known a Director of Football and proper hierarchy is key.. especially post Fergie.

What a wasted decade.

You reckon we’re finally getting rid of Maguire then?

The club had the wrong mentality.

so hung up on the past they always tried to replicate it.
always wanted people that “get United” not those best suited to the roles.

That’s why our football appointments were all just a few people switched offices and ordered new business cards.
Yeah it’s looks good fletcher turning up an away stadiums in a United suit but what else does it do for us?

The most bewildering in a decade of bewildering appointments, that one. Utterly pointless.

Landed like a fart in a broken down lift. There were articles for two or three years indicating we were looking for a director of football. Had a few names linked and then one day Fletcher was announced as “technical director”.

So of all the people we could have potentially hired - all of the various options from across the top leagues in Europe, it just so happened that the guy we were looking for - the best man for the job - was here the whole time. Utterly brazen.

Same with Murtuogh and Woodward tbf, countless others I'm forgetting no doubt. It's one thing to have continuity when you are successful, David Gill was an internal hire iirc. It's another when you are getting battered by FC Paella in the LDV Vans

He’s the last person I would like to have farting, while trapped in a lift with him. Every one a fifty-fifty.
