The manager's strategy paying off, you mean? You might say that's becoming a bit of a habit, strangely

If only we had a manager that gave youth a chance

State of Townsend, like me at five a side when I've been megged by a younger, fitter man

I’m liking mr Martial at the moment. Attitude and application are streets better than last year. Maybe he should try starting with both Martial and Rashford and save the rotation for Mata and Mkhitaryan at the head of a three.

Jose has played a blinder imo (again)

The way he has Martial and Rashers fight it out in straight competition for one place is getting the best out of the both of them

Also having the two of them compete for the same position and rotating them surely means it keeps them fresh for longer, which could be a huge boost going into the back end of the season.

Absolutes

Hope he tries one on each wing later in the season tbh

Dis and dat, will make sure rashers isn't ruined by being over played and joining the burnt out crew too.

Thumbs up

Love a lad who never smiles when he's playing, it's the sign of a top ranker

I wouldn't smile for a while if I had taken a penalty as bad as his was against Benfica

I think you'll find this has nothing to do with 'tough love' and everything to do with the fact that Mourinho hates attackers and attacking football.

And also goals.

Several forumistas have told me several times.

Alternately he could ask himself why he needs a kick up the arse. I’m pretty sure Rashford doesn’t.

As is fairly well known he has had "off field" issues. Hopefully those are behind him now
