if he's going, he's going in the summer...i'd guess

not sure he needs the move and pretty sure the last thing he wants are his horizons widened.

Probably open up a chipper or something instead.

He'll most likely finish his career in the US and then open a chain of US fast food outlets specialising in full all-day English breakfasts called 'Rooney's.'

What's the official line on Rooney? Injured? This seems brutal but it needed doing and surely the other players know it's right.

'Muscle injury' apparently. Only read that today, not expected back tomorrow or Sunday.

Very odd.

Wiser than "we're currently ignoring Wayne in an effort to persuade him to £#%&! off to China" in fairness.

Loving his life. Occasionally turns up to Old Trafford for ten minutes and is treated like a king.

Sounds like the ball is in his court. They probably had a massive offer from China and accepted it. It's up to Wayne if he wants to go.

He won't.

£30m to us, insane money to him.

I think it will happen, too many risk missing out on a payday.

Looking at this purely from waynes perspective, can you really turn down £500k a week+ if the alternative is sitting on the bench? Imagine the bonuses would be insane too and sign on fee.

Every rag is reporting this and by Jose's comments looks like it is going to happen.

“You have to ask him,” said Mourinho, when asked if he could end the speculation surrounding the England captain. “Of course, I can’t guarantee [he stays]. I cannot guarantee that I’m here next week, how can I guarantee that a player is here next season?

“What I can guarantee is that if one day Wayne leaves the club, it is not because I want him to leave the club. I would never push a legend of this club to another destiny.

“You have to ask him if he sees himself staying in the club for the rest of his career or sees himself moving.”

Asked again, whether he could guarantee Rooney would still be a United player after the close of the Chinese window, Mourinho added: “It is not a question for me because I am happy to have him.
