He isn't an attacking midfielder, he lacks the creativity and goal threat for that.

He's a year younger than Nani, had a broken leg & a cruitiate injury... I'd give him more time to get fit & get his head right. I still don't know of too many 22 year olds that are mainstays of genuinely big clubs central midfields, & having watched Fletcher toil for years & years around the same age without ever showing half the talent or performances this tubby bitch has I'm hoping he sorts himself out over time.

I thought he put himself about well the last couple of appearances even though his passing his let him down.

that's about right. he's got another year before some of the younger lads will overtake him imo.
