Default The FC United 2017/18 Thread

Well someone had to start it

Going to be a long, hard slog over this season, I reckon. Don't see any creativity or firepower in the squad.

Bottom third and flirting with relegation is probably a realistic expectation.

There are a few big old names in this league - Southport, Stockport (still) and York. Couple of nice away days, starting with York on August BH Monday.

Stop press: losing 2-1 after 78 mins away at Brackley in the opening game

Salford Harriers essentially forced out due to cold showers on club nights, Moston Juniors regularly messed about with double booked pitches. This idea of FC embedding themselves in the local community is wearing rather thin with the local community i'm afraid.

Eh up, something's happening here.

Three wins out of four in the league since Tom Greaves took over as interim manager. Five straight wins at Broadhurst Park.

2-0 down at half-time tonight, came back to win 3-2.

Open, entertaining football being played again for the first time in a couple of seasons. Out of the relegation places for now.

Looking better...
