Even with the hardest possible group they can get, it's pretty much impossible for England not to qualify for this.

Yep. Top 2 go through and more than half of the third placed teams will also qualify.

Considering there's only ever 2 good teams in a group, it'd be the mother of all £#%&! ups if we (or any of the pot 1 & 2 teams) didn't qualify.

Even the likes of Wales have a good chance.

I've just done some quick calcs and realised that it's almost 20 years since Euro 96. Makes me feel a little bit sad to be honest.
