First half of last season I'd have called you a madman. But he grew into his role, and on the evidence of the world cup performances, I'm inclined to agree.

I'm not the one who filed Kane with RvN as a boring old fashioned player as if its a bad thing. RvN's record and his goals against Fulham, Charlton,Basel, Villa, Arsenal and others showed he was much more than a penalty box poacher mind. He scored more 'wow' goals than Lukaku whose reel would be more like Javier Hernandez.

In relation to Kane and Lukaku, goals from outside the box does count if you're going to say one is boring and old fashioned compared to the other.

Jose's system requires a lot of donkey work and hold up play as well as scoring goals.

Benzema, Drogba, Costa, Milito.

They all had players chipping in with serious goals from the other attackers and midfielders.

Ronaldo, Lampard, Hazzard, Robben, Eto etc.

Really think we're pretty £#%&!ed this season

We need a signing who can put crossses in for Lukaku.

I honestly think anyone who watches any amount of football would acknowledge that Kane is a far more rounded player than Lukaku. He's England's best no.10 & no.9 - he works hard, but he has infinitely more class in his touch, vision, weight of pass, movement & range of goals.

I don't mind Lukaku, he scores goals, but I really don't have a lot of time for the kind of player he is aesthetically. Horses for courses & all that. We don't need to agree on that side of the game, but their respective contributions do not favour Lukaku in any appropriate metric.
