take your pick from the great brazilian midfielders: didi, gerson, rivelino.

others: platini, maradona, scholes, pirlo, del piero (though his position limited the range of passing he could use), beckenbauer.

I was just about to say the same. My Uncle has been a regular at United since the 40's and always says Crerand was the best passer of the ball he's seen. We also had a player in the 40's called Henry #@&%!burn who was that kind of player aswell.

As for players i've seen, Boban was a great passer.
