lets not paint fletcher as if he is the best midfielder in the world.

barry has been decent for a while now, regardless of what position he converted from (scholes is a failed striker)

he had a very good game at ot this season as well.

i personally think there isnt much between the two.

As long as none of the 'A-Listers' buy into the 'Project' then Football will keep it's dignity.
I thought Barry wanted to leave Villa for Champions League Football??

Incidentally, when are the Fixtures out?..I'm bored to £#%&! already.

if city buy a few decent players i can see them comfortably in the 2nd tier of clubs (5th-7th and about 8 points off arsenal)

if wenger had any sense he would sign barry slip him in his fabregas but the professor wont buy english :rolleyes

Right, because saying he's better than Gareth Barry clearly would put him in the "world's best" category.

Some reading comprehension courses would do you a world of good IMO.

not but to say fletcher is on a different level to him is just wrong.

barry is a decent player captaining the 5th best team in our league and a full international.

him and fletcher are at about the same level in terms of ability etc.
