I do like pretty football. but I don't think it's too much to ask for us to be defensively organised, to have a solid midfield, to look as though there is some kind of plan going forward.... I'm not expecting cantona-esque flicks from joneseh. just like to get the impression they've trained together. it's not just poor execution letting us down, it's poor management. if we're winning, we always finish looking nervous and, if we're losing, we finish looking desperate. I think we'd look more confident and consistent if everyone knew what they were doing. we're always waiting for a bit of magic, but that's not reliable. pretty football is what you stick on top of basic competence; it's not a starting point.

Martial is pulling up good stats in spite of the tactics, because of his talent. His talent in undeniable.
Nonsense. We attack in most games especially at home. Martial and Rashford just aren't consistent enough and miss chances. Both are still young so we need some experience up there.

right. because the glazers are losing sleep over us not being on city's level.

more likely, they'll have looked at the money spent on lukaku and decided that the transfer market doesn't represent good value. gate receipts? check. on track for cl qualification? check. new trousers? check.

Ball to feet, ball to feet, ball to feet, every.single.time.

Pretty sure Mourinho dropped Martial for great swathes of last season because he didn’t work hard enough defensively, even admitted it IIRC. Doubt that has happened to Sterling..

Marhez would be a good shout.. knows the league, already settled in England, where ad this Brazilian kid would be too much of a gamble, madness to sign him now and then loan him back for the rest of the season, we need players to improve the starting 11 now, we have enough youngsters with potential in Martial and Rashford.

Mourinho getting slaughtered in the media today but nobody asking the question they should be: why is his current team playing so badly.

Job done.

We thought Lukaku might be a good signing for us on that basis

Fergie didn’t give a shit about style during his first 3 or 4 seasons at united, and he said as much at the time. And judging by his 4-5-1 in Europe abomination and his last few seasons in the league he hadn’t really changed when circumstances called for it. He was as pragmatic as anyone.

15 goals in 24 games.. was bought to score goals.. could have had more goals, but that ratio is good., bed wetters think he should be scoring 3 goals a game.. started the season on fire but as soon as the service dried up so did the amount of gials he scored..

Maybe it’s the expectation, nay the demand, from the fans for instantly brilliant football, and huge criticism for the players when it isn’t delivered, or whenever a mistake is made, or whenever a win is not achieved, which is the message shackling some players.
