Default Top FIFA Officials arrested

Breaking news as I'm going to sleep, but it's big names:

Jack Warner, former FIFA VP
Jeffrey Webb, VP of FIFA Executive Committee
Eugenio Figueredo, VP of FIFA Executive Committee

Likely more to come, but those three are the first named.

Being extradited to the US where they will face Federal Corruption charges.

About bloody time.

The whole world knows they're dodgy as £#%&! and they've been getting away with it for 20 years.

The charges include wire fraud, racketeering and money laundering

Please, please, please get Blatter as well. Hopefully this will completely £#%&! up his re-election.

I'm sure they stopped all their dodgy activities years ago in fairness. No reason to doubt the bidding processes.

'tis true. Fair play to them for steaming in with very few £#%&!s there, smashing work.

I don't think the timing of this (just before the election) is a co-incidence.

Now all we need is for one of the arrested to be bang-to-rights guilty so he decides to plea bargain & rat out all of the others and the whole £#%&!ing lot get pinched.

E:60 Top reds (It's on YouTube and worth the watch) know who the real people protecting Blatter are.

Bin Hammam and the Qatari family. Until then it'll continue as normal with a load of nobodies thrown under the bus..

Blatter will fall or meet a murky death from a russian hit squad. I wonder if he'll still go ahead with the elections on Friday

The Qatari's are the ones to watch, he's been in bed with senior officials from the government for years (see the E:60 doc for more) and you take the WC off them then things will get really messy (literally). It's going to be fascinating to see how this all unfolds.

Here's hoping the Yanks and the Swiss are working together rather than independently.

My first thoughts too.

Anyway that press conference was embarrassing, FIFA are trying to take credit for this investigation FFS.

Basically Blatter knows he can't be got so he's selling out those who can.
