Nah, that's effective. He's probably £#%&!ing it up and is just hitting him with meat.

back to his best now? not just the scoring but looks a threat whenever he comes on, gets involved in the build-up...

I £#%&!ing hope not.

Much better though. Love the way he's putting himself about, getting stuck in to defenders.

Thought he would make the perfect super sub ever since the last world cup. Just like Solskjær. Their goals to games ratio for Utd is very very similar..

Can anyone explain how he's not got on in our last 2 league games when he's our topscorer outside of RVP? How is Welbeck with his solitary goal this season staying on for 90 mins, 2 weeks in a row?

He's not even creating £#%&! all, he just finds space then loses the ball. A good sub option, nothing more, nothing less.

IMO welbeck playing too much cost us last season. Today we drew and last week could also easily have been a draw. He's not justifying his place in the team ahead of someone who is a born goalscorer and also has been setting up several goals this season.

Tbf pal i don't think he'd have been able to do much seeing as our service and final ball was abysmal.

Welbeck has been getting playing time because he is more versatile and can operate in the wider areas. Chicha is a better goalscorer, but could you really see him playing wide right or left? If Hernandez had played, Van Persie would have had to drop deep where he would have taken Kagawas spot, not Welbecks.

it's his turn to rest, and to be fighting fit on an assault for 3 trophies

and this..

Not sure it was Hernandez type of conditions either, RvP kept getting caught offside, Cheech would've stood no chance.

If Evra, Valencia or Rooney could play a simple pass Welbeck would've had a one on one or a tap in, as he would had RvP left it whilst offside. You can't blame the lad for the ball not getting to him. He was excellent in the main today, caused their defence problems 1st half.

you can't blame him but I'll go out on a limb here and say we'll not miss him. He's not improved his game one bit since he signed for us and that's always a bad sign especially with strikers.

Just scoring goals is not enough at United because when he doesn't score he offers very little to the team.

Good player, not a great one.
