Blind reads the game better than anyone else we have. More than makes up for any lack of pace. Would like him in midfield as the deepest lying player.

Makes no sense to lose either. Would only weaken the squad.

Yesterday's lineup suggests Jose isn't as obsessed with pace as everyone insisted earlier in the summer.

Blind had a cracker of a game yesterday, not his biggest fan but he's playing well and he's winning people round as a CB (still think the game is too quick for him in midfield).

Mata is Mata, we know what he brings.

Both deserve (and will) to stay.
