Default Daniel Agger

What's happened to him?

Will he be fit for next Sunday?

Just curious like.

Metatarsal. They've been saying he's due back short for weeks now, maybe it will be true this time. I hope not. They're a much better team with him in there.

Yup, adds pace to that lumbering strobe affected defence of theirs.

I sincerly hope not. carragher and hyppia have been awful at times. rooney, tevez and ronaldo's trickery will be too much for those 2.

Absolutely. His distribution from the back is far superior to theirs as well. Without Agger in the team, Carragher gets shown up for the technically deficient hoof and hope merchant that he is.

Harper's hardly slow but watching their defence on Saturday trying to catch up with him was painful and amusing.

It's why I asked really. I rate him, think he's a very good young defender. They'll be a lot stronger at the back if he comes in for Hypia. However, has he played at all this season? If he's barely kicked a ball and hasn't even featured for thier stiffs it'd be a big ask to drop him into the game on Sunday.

I'd love it if they played Gerrard on the right with Alonso and Masherano in the middle.

So Alonso and Agger should be back for Sunday?

Looks like they both could be fit for the game:

But their match sharpness won't be there.
We'll win 2-1 on Sunday.

Perhaps. Depends how long they've been in training for. Also they could also have one of those storming performances which sometimes happens when a player returns from a lengthy lay off.

Surely it would be beneficial to us if Agger does play?

He has been out quite some time now.

I hope you're right Mr C.

I just hope Utd turn up, show some intent and don't sit back and try to contain long ball after long ball.

You watch them start Crouch and stick him on Evra, Gerrard and Alonso to then smash the ball in his direction at every opportunity. , and an even longer .
