Default Pre Season games against top teams

Are you in favour of them?

Personally, i'm not. Manchester United v Arsenal or Real Madrid v Barcelona should not ever be pre season 'friendlies'. The competitive edge will always be there and you end up with the risk of injury.

Liverpool have got the right idea they've been the far east taking it easy against a load of german 2nd division sides and Leicester.

The general deal

It's all commercial driven, hardly going to fly Mansfield town out to play united are they....

See how many Madrid fans were at the game v us.... !

Bit snide how we don't play more MLS teams, but it'll be a well oiled cash machine of getting the big lads over...

Nope. Don’t mind playing Dortmund, but English sides, top sides in Europe? Nah.

$$$$

Be far more interesting to face sides we never really see or play (e.g. South American) but the calendars don't align.

Though do remember us playing Boca one summer.

We didn’t actually play Boca in the end if memory serves me as the Vodafone tournament at OT had to be cancelled because of lighting and thunderstorms
