Yeah, but not a chance you are getting a top Italian to leave. They barely do now and it was the top league in the world back then. They had a few decent keepers over there too.

Yeah true.

Would have taken Toldo too

90's serie A was incredible, so many good sides and top players

It made a lot of sense to buy Veron at the time, as with Berbatov a few years later.

In both cases the intention was to strengthen us when we were already at the top - as critics of the club often accuse us of not doing. Its just a shame neither ultimately worked out.

Thumbs up

Any chance of a RB and LB incoming during January? Rose would do at LB, what about the lad at PSG who can't get a game?

Would have gone after that Schalke midfielder too, but if he's agreed a move to City hey ho...

Even taking his contract situation into account, 8 million is being lowballed today.

Massively
We'd probably get that for the likes of The Scottish Player.
Unless they are off setting it with whatever ridiculous salary he is on.

Of course we are. That’s why most of our players end up leaving for peanuts, it’s because they’re on crazy money. Lingard is on 100k a week ffs

That's Jessie though isn't it (the odd good goal and game but we could fill that shirt on those wages with a far better player)
