There were that many coins and greenies coming over from the kippax it was like the beginning of gladiator. then watching the horrible @#%&!s ballooning for what seemed like a year as goal after goal went in. 1 2, 123, 1234, 5 - 1 over and over and over. Then going home to face our kid who is a bitter (an unbitter one remarkably).

He made the fa cup against arsenal in 79 a torment but I wasn't there.

4 0 at anfield was horrid but at least we kept singing.

1 4 at home was awful and the end for my lucky socks

The memorial game was a disaster

Rome was utterly gutting

The fa cup finals against arsenal that we dominated and lost on penalties wasn't fun

And then losing to Chelsea in the final after a shite game

porto knocking us out of the european cup.. horrible night, scholes had a good goal disallowed and then howard with his shite attempt at keeping out that last minute goal.. jose does'nt know how lucky he was that night.. if they had of lost I don't think he would have gone to chelsea that summer and then on to inter and madrid..

We left before the end & walking down Wilmslow Road there was a £#%&!in blue @#%&! with a scarf strolling down. I bowl over saying "are you £#%&!in mental, you've just beat us 5-1 & you leave before the end etc" & we start scuffling in the street. My mates drag me away & we jump on a bus. We go for 3 or 4 in town & at about 7-30pm I just stood up, depressed & announced I was going home. Did & went straight to bed!

1992, actually. Was the beginning of the end, in retrospect, of our title challenge then - we had played some £#%&!ing superb stuff in late 1991 but were never really the same after that

Well we beat them 1-0 at home in 2002/03 season.

in 2003/4 It was 2-3 to middlesbrough. A midweek game, which I was at. If I remember rightly we allowed Juninho to score TWO £#%&!ing headers. Then forlan missed a header in injury time from virtually on the goal line.

Then to top it off, on my way home on the M6 a truck carrying live chickens crashed and it took 3 hours to clear the chickens off the motorway.

5-1 at St Andrews 1978, we scored first, Jordan or Macari.
6-0 at Portman Road, same era 77-78, they missed 2 pens, 3 if you count the re-taken one, the year before that Ipswich stuffed us again 3-0.

I'd left by the time the 4th one went in. Didn't find out it was 1-4 until i got back in the car and listened to the radio.
